Today was our first day, and whew! It went by fast. Several students had a few supplies they didn't bring in today. We'll get "down to business" pretty quickly, so it would be helpful to have those supplies as soon as possible.
I sent home a page (attached to the newsletter) about supplies, and I indicated on that page which items your child may have been missing today. There were a couple students who found items after I'd marked their pages, but please take a look at the list and see which items your child might still need.
Some students brought in binders or extra folders; we only need one folder here in class for daily communication, but if you would like your child to use the extra binder or folder for a specific purpose, let me know. A quick email or a note in their Daily Folder would be perfect. :)
Please check your child's Tuesday Folder, sign it, and send it back with your child tomorrow. Daily Folders (the other folder your child brought home) should go back and forth with your child each day. This provides us with a simple way to communicate with each other. Any notes, paperwork, etc. can be sent in these Daily Folders-from me to you AND from you to me. :)
It's a whirlwind here at the beginning of school, and there are lots of details. I'll do my best to get information to you as quickly as possible, so we can all be caught up and on the same page.
I'm changing font color so you will notice this: PARENT NIGHT is on THURSDAY, September 10 from 6:30pm-8:30pm. A handout came home in your child's Tuesday folder with more information, but here are a few MAJOR reasons you'll want to show up:
-There will be door prizes AND a $25 tuition coupon just for attending!
-There will be appetizers and cookies for everyone!
-There is FREE childcare!
This is a great opportunity to get caught up on the new policies, get to know me and how I'll be running the classroom (2nd grade families, there are some changes, so you'll want to be there!), and enjoy fellowship with our school community.
See you Thursday night! Have a blessed evening with your kiddos! :)
